Mariah Carey Performer and songwriter Mariah Carey is a mega-platinum award-winning superstar who has been setting and breaking industry records since her career began with five consecutive multi-week #1 Pop/#1 R&B singles in 1990-91. Her total sales of albums, singles and videos to date exceeds 180 million worldwide. Mariah’s 10th studio album, 2005’s The Emancipation Of Mimi, is an industry phenomenon - Soundscan’s biggest-selling album of the year, with more than 9 million copies sold worldwide. The album generated an all-time career-high of 8 Grammy nominations for Mariah, and won Best Contemporary R&B Album, with “We Belong Together” winning Best Female R&B Vocal Performance and Best R&B Song.

Countless additional awards came Mariah’s way during 2005-2006 as a result of Mimi’s success, among them six BMI Awards; the American Music Award; four VIBE Awards; and a sweep of the Billboard Music Awards and the Radio Music Awards. “We Belong Together” and “Don’t Forget About Us,” Mariah’s 16th and 17th #1 career singles respectively, tied one of the most enduring chart records in Billboard Hot 100 history, Elvis Presley’s 17 #1’s. “Touch My Body” Put her past the King.

Her last effort E=MC2 Brought us her latest Number one song and topped the charts in 2008. The album was released on April 16, 2008 in the United States. It debuted at number 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 with 463,000 copies sold, making it the biggest opening week in sales of her career. It became Carey’s sixth number 1 album on the Billboard 200. The first single from the album, “Touch My Body”, reached number 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, Other singles include the U.S. top twenty song “Bye Bye”, and U.S. R&B top forty song “I’ll Be Lovin’ U Long Time”, as well as the number one dance hit “I Stay in Love”. To date, the album has sold over 2.5 million copies worldwide.

Mariah is now positioned as the only active recording artist in the 48 years of the Hot 100 with the potential to match or surpass the Beatles’ all-time high of 20 #1 hits. With 80 total career weeks of #1 hits, Mariah also ranks Number One all-time high in weeks. Mariah is, quite simply, the top female recording artist in U.S. history.

Fan Made Video: Mariah Can’t Sing Now! She Whispers?

video by ynnhojhairam

“I’m sick of all the haters and jealous people saying Mariah Carey whispers now because she cant sing. she has always used the same formula on her vocal arrangements.. start the song off soft falsetto, second verse stronger chest vocals, bridge she builds up to the belting vocals towards the end….”

Will Mariah ever score her 19th and 20th #1 to tie the record with The Beatles for most #1s on Billboard Hot 100? by Tina

Her latest two singles,
“Up Out My Face” and
“Angels Cry”
are stirring up a lot of buzz, and many believe that one of these singles may be Carey’s chance. More favorable choice, “Up Out My Face” is the likely winning formula song that will garn Carey her 19th #1.

This song is getting more favorable reviews, and EW has ranked it amoung its list of
“Top 10 Things We Love This Week!

Mariah Carey Angel’s Advocate Tour Live Vocal Range: C3-Eb7

Made by Murtaza

Within this video I capture all of the notes MC has shown in her 7th tour, the Angels Advocate tour. Mariah has shown an extensive live vocal range, her chest voice is in great shape, she’s doing C5s effortlessly, and she belts out E5’s with sincere passion and emotion. Her lower register still has a lot of depth, fullness and tone. Mariah hasn’t shown this much range in every register and overall since the Daydream era, I think it’s safe to say this is her 3rd prime! It was truly a pleasure making this video. Lambs forever :)

PS: My fave note is the Migrate D5 belt it’s so powerful!

*Lower Register*
=C3, Eb3, E3, F3, F#3, G3

*Upper Chest Register*
=C5, C#5, D5, Eb5, E5, F5, F#5, G5, G#5 (:O Can you believe it? LOL, take that haters LMAO)

Head Voice Register
=G#5, A5, Bb5, B5, C6, D6, Eb6 (No C#6)

*Super Head/Whistle Register*
=Eb6, E6, F6, F#6, G6, G#6, A6, Bb6, B6, C7, C#7, D7, Eb7

Enjoy watching ma lamberts :)
PS: What’s your favourite note?
PPS: I am aware that the tour is not over yet, so if she does some notes that deserve to be in this video I will re-upload and update this video :)
